Seed Starter Update and DIY Roundup

The first batch of starts from my Mini Greenhouses (made from plastic apple containers, tutorial available here) have now been transplanted into self watering pop bottle planters. I love these things. You can probably tell from the brand of the pop bottle what our major vice is. Its nice to be able to give them a second life rather than toss them in our already over burdened garbage can. Plus, they don't require as much maintenance as starts in traditional planters! For a tutorial on how to make these, click here.

I'm also happy to report that my first succulents are thriving and doing quite well in their tin can planters.( Tutorial available here.

(These would also be fun to simply stick out in the garden sans candle)

( I've got some green onions in the fridge, so I'll be doing this one fairly soon)

( as someone who primarily gardens using containers, this little trick will come in handy!)
